Infor describes LN as "enterprise manufacturing ERP with built-in AI" and "a complete, integrated ERP solution with hundreds of capabilities"1Infor LN: cloud ERP for enterprise manufacturersInfor.

Best for: Complex, multi-site discrete manufacturers (aerospace and defence, automotive, high tech, industrial) leaving ECC for a cloud ERP built for that work.

Not the right fit for: Companies that want to choose where the ERP is hosted, or that need published prices.

What it covers

Infor says LN runs complex global and multi-site operations from a single instance, and cites more than 1,500 discrete manufacturing customers across aerospace and defence and automotive, with industry coverage extending to high tech, industrial manufacturing and engineering and construction1Infor LN: cloud ERP for enterprise manufacturersInfor. It is a multi-tenant cloud on AWS. Built-in capabilities listed include RPA, machine learning, generative AI, advanced analytics and process intelligence.

Strengths and limits

Strengths

• Built for the kind of complex, project-heavy discrete manufacturing many ECC estates support.
• Multi-site operations from one instance.
• A large installed base in aerospace and defence and automotive.

Limits

• Multi-tenant cloud only, which removes hosting choice.
• AI capabilities are listed rather than described.
• No named customers or prices on the page we read.

Choose another option if: You need hosting choice, published prices or a lighter system for a mid-sized company.

Pricing

Questions to ask Infor

• Which of the listed AI capabilities are generally available, and what do they change on their own?
• What does a migration from ECC typically involve, and can we speak to a customer who made it?
• What are the data export terms in the multi-tenant cloud?
• What does the subscription cost for our plants and users?
